Michael Beckley, PA-C
Mike grew up in Linden, Michigan and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from Michigan State University. He received a Master’s of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University in 2007. Mike practiced in Family Medicine before spending the last 12 years in the Emergency Room at McLaren and Beaumont Hospitals. He and his family live in Clarkston and he joined Springfield Urgent Care in 2020 to continue caring for his community. He enjoys coaching his 2 boys and spending his free time with his wife, Rachel, and the Whipple Lake Yacht Club.
Roberta Knittle, M.S., MSPAS, PA-C
Raised in Westland, Michigan. Earned a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Michigan-Dearborn and a Master’s of Science in Molecular Biology from Vanderbilt University. She earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant studies from Wayne State University. She has been a practicing PA for over two decades with experience in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, and Family Medicine. She is committed to providing quality care for her community and resides in Lakeland with her husband and three sons. In her free time she enjoys nature, photography, hiking, and gardening.
Matthew Kanelos, PA-C
Matthew Kanelos grew up in Brighton, MI. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. He completed a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant studies at Wayne State University in 2014, and has been practicing Urgent Care and Emergency Medicine ever since. He enjoys spending time with his wife Ashley, and his two children Sawyer and Charlie. He interests include cooking, boating, and disc golf.
Karen Martens, PA-C
Karen grew up in Detroit and attended Wayne State University for her undergraduate and graduate degrees, obtaining her Master’s in the inaugural class of the Physician Assistant studies program. She brings over 20 years experience as a Physician Assistant in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care. Prior to joining Springfield Urgent Care, she dedicated the majority of her career to serving the communities of Detroit and Jackson, Michigan. From these experiences she has learned that “Everyone has a story”. Through focused listening to the patient and compassion for their concerns, she is able to help create a unified plan that helps the patient achieve a successful outcome. Karen spends her free time enjoying her family and friends (including 2 very delightful grandchildren), relaxing “up north” amongst Michigan’s shorelines, lakes and forests, and practicing yoga.
Kristi Morris, PA-C
Kristi is a national certified physician assistant. She graduated from Midwestern University PA Program, Glendale, AZ in 2003 and has practiced in Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine. Kristi is a recent transplant from WA state and is looking forward to serving the patients here in MI. She is married with 4 grown/growing children and enjoys running, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Maegen Mandeville, PA-C
Maegen grew up in Yale, MI and is a 2005 graduate of Yale High School. She received her Bachelors Degree in Health Service Administration from University of Detroit Mercy in 2009 and then later went on to pursue her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Wayne State University. She completed her Graduate Degree in 2016 and has worked in Urgent Care and Emergency Medicine since. She currently resides in Redford and in her free time she spends time with her friends, family, boyfriend, and cockapoo, Lola. She enjoys walking nature trails, hiking, trying new restaurants, skiing, sledding, and traveling whenever possible.
