Dr. Tressa Gardner
Medical Director
Dr. Tressa Gardner was born and raised in Michigan, focusing on her medical career across the state. After receiving her bachelor of science at Oakland University, she moved on to medical school at Michigan State University. She continued her experience during an internship at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, then moving forward to her full residency at POH Medical Center in Pontiac, where she emphasized on Emergency Medicine. She is board-certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine, has participated in several professional organizations, and is currently a member of several acclaimed associations, including American Osteopathic Association and American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Gardner is proud to open and operate an urgent care center in Springfield Township and surrounding communities, bringing convenient and efficient healthcare – without the need for ER costs or appointments. A healthier, happier Michigan has been her primary goal throughout her education and career. Born, raised, educated, and works locally with her community, a perfect fit with Springfield Urgent Care!

JAMES HARRILL, PA-C

James received his Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies at the Medical College of Ohio in 2002. He has had the privilege to spend his professional career in Southeast Michigan as a physician assistant with highly acclaimed board-certified physicians. James has a background in internal medicine, trauma surgery, critical care surgery, and emergency medicine. He and his family reside in Davisburg and enjoy being a part of the community. James partnered with Dr. Gardner to open Springfield Urgent Care to create an accessible, comfortable, and high-quality experience for patients in our local communities.

Candace earned both her Bachelor of Health Care Administration and Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan. She brings extensive experience in operations, finance, and human resources within Emergency Medicine and Primary Care to her role at Springfield Urgent Care. Candace is proud to be part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality, convenient, and patient-centered care to the communities they serve.

Dan joined Springfield Urgent Care to bring his experience and knowledge of human resources to the growing team. He completed his bachelor’s degree in business management with a focus on Human Resources at the University of Phoenix. Dan and his family live in Swartz Creek, where they are active in the ministry of the local church.

Erin is a mom of 2 boys and resides in Davisburg. She has a passion for serving the community and has done so as a former member of the Springfield Township Fire Department for several years. With a paramedic’s license, and many years of management experience, Erin brings a vast knowledge of patient care and people services to Springfield Urgent Care. Among her many values, she treasures teaching and continued education, which has proved invaluable to Springfield Urgent Care during her tenure as the Education Coordinator for our Clinical Assistant team. In her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time on the water kayaking and spoiling her dogs. When you’re in Highland, show her a picture of your pup, she’d love to see them!

Jessica grew up in Holly, Michigan and attended Baker College, where she received her bachelor’s in health care administration. Jessica proudly joined Springfield Urgent Care in early 2020 and helped provide leadership and strategic thinking throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. She feels privileged to have had the opportunity to work and grow with such an amazing team. Jessica has spent her entire career in healthcare and has a management background in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Family Practice. She enjoys drawing and painting, exploring Northern and Upper Michigan, boating, fishing, and spending time with her family.
Nicole Wood

A native of Saginaw County, Nicole attended Ross Medical Education Center, where she graduated as a Medical Assistant. Nicole has an extensive medical background in Family Medicine, OB-GYN, and Maternal Fetal Medicine. She is proud to be a part of Springfield Urgent Care, providing great care to the community. Nicole resides in Saginaw with her family and their dog. Outside of the office Nicole enjoys going up north, traveling with her family, cooking, and attending college sporting events.
