Dr. Tressa Gardner
Dr. Tressa Gardner was born and raised in Michigan, focusing on her medical career across the state. After receiving her bachelor of science at Oakland University, she moved on to medical school at Michigan State University. She continued her experience during an internship at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, then moving forward to her full residency at POH Medical Center in Pontiac, where she emphasized on Emergency Medicine. She is board-certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine, has participated in several professional organizations, and is currently a member of several acclaimed associations, including American Osteopathic Association and American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Gardner is proud to open and operate an urgent care center in Springfield Township and surrounding communities, bringing convenient and efficient healthcare – without the need for ER costs or appointments. A healthier, happier Michigan has been her primary goal throughout her education and career. Born, raised, educated, and works locally with her community, a perfect fit with Springfield Urgent Care!
Certified Physician Assistant
In 2002, James received his Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies. He has had the privilege to spend his professional career in Southeast Michigan as a physician assistant with highly acclaimed board-certified physicians. James has an expertise in internal medicine, trauma surgery, critical care surgery, and emergency medicine. He and his lovely wife, Emily, and children reside in Davisburg and love their community. Having young children, James soon noticed a need for an urgent care for Springfield Township and surrounding areas. He then partnered with Dr. Gardner to open Springfield Urgent Care to create an accessible, comfortable, and quality experience for patients in the community.
Certified Physician Assistant
Erin grew up in Huntington Woods, MI and graduated from Berkley High School. She completed her undergraduate studies in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After college, Erin pursued her dream of dancing professionally as a Radio City Rockette. Having achieved this personal milestone, she then focused her efforts on her long-term career goals by continuing on to graduate school at Central Michigan University where she earned her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2005. She is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and her career experience includes Pediatrics, Surgery, Emergency and Urgent Care Medicine. Erin, her husband Tim and their two children Avery and Owen, have called Clarkston their home for over a decade. You may find them shopping or dining downtown or attending one of the many hometown events. Erin enjoys working on home projects, walking her dog Birch, meeting girlfriends for coffee and watching her kids participate in dance, football, soccer, and other athletic and school activities. Erin is looking forward to continuing to serve her community at Springfield Urgent Care. If you see her around town, please don’t hesitate to say, “hello”!
Shelley L. Kamsickas, PA-C
Born and raised in Michigan. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Central Michigan University in 1993. She practiced speech therapy until she returned to school to pursue a degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She received a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Wayne State University in 2000. Since then, she has practiced in MI with expertise in Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine. She resides in Davisburg, MI with her daughter, Reegan, and enjoys practicing in the community with neighbors and friends.
